You will experience the breathtaking magic of Provence and St Tropez. Taste local wines, bliss out on one of many beautiful beaches, explore castles and museums or simply relax by the pool at our beautiful French estate. YOGA & WORKSHOPS
What can you expect from Serena's classes?
Two daily yoga classes will be offered, including one sweaty and vigorous yoga class in the morning; and a workshop or a gentle restorative yoga class in the late afternoon. Yoga classes are open to all levels. Classes can range from gentle, restorative, to high energy Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga styles. Style and class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students' needs. Students will receive personalized attention and comfortability to deeply explore their own practice.

Workshop 1: Journey To Handstands Workshop
In this workshop, you will get some key takeaways and fundamental skills in the art of Hand Balancing.
The workshop will focus on the following segments:
Proper Hand & Wrist Preparation
Handstand Core Conditioning & Hollow body Holds
Straight Line Involves the “Hollow body Rounding”
Locking the Form (Use of fingers, hand grip, and shoulder strength)
Working with progressions
Practicing various techniques and proper alignment on entering into the Handstand (Tuck, Straddle, Pike)
Drills to build strength for the Press handstand.
We will break down the fundamentals of the handstand, different variations on entering into the handstand (Tuck, Straddle, Pike), and learn the necessary tools to help you in your journey towards handstands!
Workshop 2: Journey To Flexibility & Back Bending Workshop
Do you find the concept of back-bending scary, terrifying, or even painful? Then this is the perfect workshop for you to learn how to unlock your spine safely. Contrary to what we might think, back-bending can be quite therapeutic. We spend 90% of our day sitting, standing, or even sleeping in a posterior curve in our spine (rounding the back). This habitual pattern eventually causes the vertebrae to mimic the action, slowly pressing the discs posteriorly over time.
Functional back-bending reverses this process, creating space and flexibility within the vertebrae and muscles to allow the disc to shift back towards neutral.
In this workshop, you will learn the techniques to improve your flexibility and deepen your backbends. This includes opening and releasing the hips, quads, thoracic spine, shoulder mobility, and increasing back strength. We will focus on deepening your flexibility and opening the space behind your heart - how to shift the ‘bend’ from lower spine to Upper and Thoracic Spine, relieving the compression and pressure on your Lumbar spine.
Workshop 3: Journey To Arm Balances and Inverted Arm Balances Workshop
This 2 hour workshop explores the foundations of arm balancing, and will give you tips and tricks to get your wings open and your body off the ground, emphasizing the cornerstones of successful arm balances: Core, Open Shoulders and Balance, which are 3 essentials to lift-off. We’ll learn the essentials to have you soaring into postures such as Bakasana (crow), Galavasana (flying pigeon pose), side crow, Tittibasana (firefly pose), Mayurasana (Peacock Pose), Dragonfly pose, Visvamitrasana (Visvamitra’s pose), Astravakrasana (Eight Angled pose), Pinchamayurasana (Forearm stand balance), Sirsasana (Headstand), and more.
Arm balances are liberating postures that teach us not only about our intrinsic power but about our innate playfulness, courage, fearlessness and agility. Learn a pathway to channel these postures into your practice with enthusiasm and ease.
La Bastide De Verez is located in the centre of the Var, between the backcountry of the Haut Var and the French Riviera coast. In the heart of the country, surrounded by lush vineyards, every year the nearby land produces wine for Château Minuty.
For our retreat, we will have exclusive access to the entire estate including 2 swimming pools, multiple living/relaxing spaces, a veranda, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
A $500 USD Non Refundable deposit will secure your spot on the retreat or you may choose to pay in full. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the retreat start date (July 12, 2020). Payment plans are available, remaining balance can be split up to 6 payments - please refer to FAQ for more information. A confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours of your booking.
Please do not book your flight until you have received a confirmation to do so. You will be provided with instructions on when to arrive/depart along with travel agent details to assist you with your flight booking (or you may book your flight on your own).
An information package will be sent 30 days prior to departure and will include the retreat schedule, recommended packing list and trip details.
